Hello agents! Well, Friday, I was napping in the afternoon and started thinking how the project is annoying because in a way, just me and the Rev are working on it. I was not having fun with the game and started thinking, 'Why am I doing something I will not like it, after all, already played the N64 and some played on the X-BOX, why we play the same thing again? So I decided I'm going to redo most scenarios, thus making Codename Dark look like a true remake. Why doing this? The objective of this project was always remake Perfect Dark, but not only that, prepare for the world of game development, almost all members of the team want to pursue this career. We are doing this because we love and want to do the best fan-remake of all, in a way, I realized that doing the same thing they have done, would not help us meet that goal. And believe me, try to duplicate the old structures is boring and annoying. The main features of Perfect Dark will stay?Yep. There will be new content? (Missions, weapons, multiplayer modes)Yep. OMG! You will ruin the best game ever! #not #coolThat's where you come in, you will ensure that the project does not get off the tracks. I'm not a fan of this particular change in direction, but I still support you nonetheless. I, personally, wouldn't have minded if you focused on recreating the levels using simplistic 3D assets to begin with, as I feel as though this project is particularly programmer heavy. If you block in the old maps using untextured meshes, then focus on nailing the weapon selection, aiming, projectiles, ballistics, etc, it could really help you achieve some significant process. I've only just properly stumbled upon this, so I apologize if I'm coming across as rude. Just another (very recent) Perfect Dark fan who hopes that you retain the feeling of the original game (minus the horrendous frame rates). PS. I'm a 3D artist and I'd love to help you with this, but as it stands I'm busy with college. Should a moment arise in which I become free for a period of time, I'll happily let you know.

Hi Wolfe, if you do not know, the idea of remaking the scenarios from zero was canceled because of my lack of experience in creating new stages. You can see some photos of the Institute on the project's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.758090604285857.1073741830.423512191077035&type=3So, the remake of the scenarios are equal to the original game, changing some things which at the time was needed to bring the game on Nintendo hardware 64. Your help is more than welcome! Thanks

Ah, okay. I must've misunderstood. Do you intend on going down the free-aim system that Perfect Dark used? And on top of that, do you intend on having enemies use remade but similar animations? Also, I've added you on Steam since it's much easier to talk over there.

About the free aim: The game will work as the current FPS like Bioshock or Call of Duty, the free-aim gameplay on the Nintendo 64 worked well, but in the remake or port to XBLA did not really work. Despite the animation does not work well in the remake (did a little test), I'll think of something, it's hard to imagine PD without those animations!
ARGH! I'm dying!
